Interaction environment

The interaction environment has a greater level of complexity. The following list is all the ways the user can interact with the environment:

  • Pick fruit from the tree

  • Use the axe to cut logs for the fire

  • Catch fish from the river and cook them on the fire

  • Douse the fire with water from the river using the jug

  • Play music on the strings between the fire and the tree

Video N4 shows how to pick fruit from the tree.

Instructions for Use

Overview and purpose

This appendix summarizes how to use our VR Application, giving instructions on how to use or interact with each of the three environments. However, overall, there is limited structure to the environments, allowing a lot of freedom for the user to develop their own games and objectives within them.

In the third room, the drawing room, you draw inspiration from the pictures of the chairs on the wall, and draw your own, either copying one of them or designing your own. Video N3 shows this process.

In the decorating room, you can decorate the chair or trace it with the Tilt Brush paint features, as shown below in Video N2.

Video N2. Decorating room

Drawing environment

This environment is divided into 3 rooms, the doodle room, the decorating room, and the drawing room. In the doodle room, you simply doodle or draw whatever you like using Tilt Brush, as shown below in Video N1.

Drawing environment

This environment is focused around unstructured expression, and so has very little definite objectives. Pick your song on the jukebox on the side of the room. Using the objects around the room, like the stars and beach balls, dance to the music and have fun! Video 5 below shows this process.
